Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

How losing "Structure" kinda sucks...

Hey people, Im still here. I just have been... busy... with.... well... stuff...

I cant say that with a straight face, really. So i'm going to be honest here, For the past few months, say May i think, or just before May. I pretty much left High School, apart from having exams to go to on June. I had pretty much left school. After i finished my exams in June i was finished entirety as i had done those exams and was now on my extended summer holidays...

Now, here lies the problem. School takes up a large portion of your younger days. You get up at the same time, you go to school for most of the same time. You have this "Structure" that you don't quite notice until you leave school for good. Because you had something to do (Maybe not the most satisfying thing since school can be boring if your not interested with what's being taught) you had that Structure. This helped with my updating to be honest. Now, "School" has recently just started in Scotland. And do you know what?

Yeah, i miss it. I miss having that structure, But as much as i miss being at school, I wouldn't want to go back to high school since i want a fresh start, and maybe earn myself a fricking social life that i'd want. Trying to get into Collage however has been a massive pain in the ass.

I never thought i'd say i miss school a few months ago, but its funny how irony works that way. If it is Irony.

Hopefully things will change and I'll get into collage and then I'll get that structure i miss. I'm just haven't had the motivation to do anything artistic due to having nothing to do... (Plus, when it comes to Love and Chaos. I'm not feeling exactly "motivated" to do that until Drunkduck becomes more stable. And what would be the point of updating if not many people would notice i've updated? How would i get new readers if it doesn't show up as a new update in the front page?)

Just bare with me when it comes to updates. Alright? Love and Chaos will start to get updated when i feel is the right time. But its not quite that time just yet.
